Tonight my mother told me..

Tonight my mother told me something spectacular. Something that I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it before. It almost seems obvious in a way- how the light that shines off of stars could really be gone. That some stars have burnt out and now the light travels so slowly that it could have been a million years ago that a star had last sparkled. It's amazing how we're looking at something that was, or still is, alive. Though most of it don't know it, we could be looking at nothing. It's enough to make me think that some things can look beautiful but behind it all they are just empty and still.

Think about it.

Cheesecake Factory

What can I say? It's wonderful! It's amazing! It's FABULOUS! No wonder every single on of my friends have been telling me to go for the past 5 MONTHS! After seeing, "The Kings Speech" we went to this lovely Restaurant to celebrate Paris' birthday (a little late) and ate the most beautiful cheesecake ever (I had Chocolate Tuxedo something and Pear had Dulce De Leche)! I could not finish my very LARGE slice for the life of me so we took it home and I intend to eat it sometime in the near future :) So I just wanted to say that it is a very extraordinary place and if you have not been there yet... you should be ashamed of yourself.
Remember that it may be a tad $expensive$
Depending on what you choose :)

Riding the bus

The action around us doesn't change. The mountains and hills are still standing tall and the trees stretch high. Cars still honk and speed past, children hold their parents hands- everything's the same. I remember riding the bus to school for the first time just last year. The sounds and scenery all seemed new but that was a LONG time ago. Now it's dull and I sit like a loser (most of the time) all alone, staring out the window and texting or calling my friends to not look so pathetic. Sometimes I do have friends to sit with and talk to but other times I just try not to make eye contact so i don't draw attention to myself and can look completely happy (after months of trying to perfect this skill I don't think it works to well). The bus is just another part of my day along with school-homework-friends-energetic jumping-apples-and chocolate. Just 1 more year left of this tragic way of transportation... just kidding... a year and a half. dang. oh well :) got to stay positive! This chapter of my life will end eventually. even though it seems never ending... now i'm just rambling so night everyone! I hope I didn't ruin your strange dreams of riding a bus because I just make it sound depressing.
but only because it is

P.S. This is post #5. 28 more to go

Catching up

Today was my first day back at school since our big adventure to Utah- it was weird. First of all it felt like a Tuesday and I had to keep reminding myself that it's a Wednesday. Second of all I had missed out on a lot of news and HOMEWORK! But oh well, at least it's finished now right? We almost had to run the mile today but instead we had the beep test where every time you hear "BEEP" then you have to run from one line to the other. It's really tiring. But then tonight I gave my blog a makeover which I am so proud of. So that's my post for the day. Hope you enjoyed it :)

Parents?

One of the great things about Utah? HIKING! Yesterday we all drove over to Snow Canyon State Park in 2 cars but before we went through the entrance we all had to pile into 1 of them so we wouldn't have to pay for 2 cars when we got in. Such a beautiful hike..

We even saw people doing Yoga! (and joined in at some parts)

Oh Erin and her blue streak... you are so adorable.

Then we went "Zac Bowling" where we chucked Moqui Marbles at him and tried to hit him like bowling balls. Erin was so happy when it was her turn to go down.

 Lex the Photographer.

And when we were done with our little adventure in this fabulous park, we drove back to our second car when suddenly we were informed that our dearest mothers would be leaving to get dinner and let's just say, DITCHED us with Alexa and her fiancĂ©e Brian to help them figure out how many kids they would want when they got married (I personally think that they got a very bad idea of what having kids would be like-especially if you had 6 of them). It was a very long drive home...
The video wouldn't upload for some strange reason but I can tell you that with all of us yelling, "MOM! WE WANT ICECREAM!" and "DAD! WE NEVER GOT OUR ALLOWANCE!" you couldn't really hear much. But otherwise it's really tiring to be annoying.

P.S. earlier this weekend Zac had said over dinner "I'm going to be an uncle soon!" which made all of this 20x funnier :)

Craaazzy kids!!

Here in Utah, we decided to have a talent show. So Paris, Alexa, Erin, & I decided to lip sync. To Justin Bieber. Enough said.
Now this is just half of the video because my Filmer didn't realize that she was filming. But anyway... that's my post for the day :)

A Post a day

Because I am so lame and can never keep up with my blogging, I have come up with a fabulous plan: for an entire month I will post one thing a day on my blog. It shouldn't be that hard but I'm me so i will probably fail. I will either start now or on March 1st which is long enough away that I will probably talk myself out of it or forget. So today will be my first post and until March 20th I will continue to post once a day. Maybe it will teach me to actually update my blog every once in a while. Wish me luck!

Woot for blogging!

Yeah! scarlett is bloggin! finally!Start blogging Scarlett!

what to do?

Okay. So today I'm trying to be productive.
it's not working out so well.
First I had tried to make a paper crane.....
You can imagine how that turned out.
Listened to music.
Tried writing about how I failed to make an origami crane.
Sat in the really comfortable chair.
Stared out the window at the sunny world around me.
Waited for the super bowl to come around.
Got bored of that.
Texted a few friends.
No reply.
Got so bored that I pathetically googled "what to do when you're bored"
Came up with many strange things
Yet only one appealed to me- throw tomatoes at the ceiling fan.
Can't do that; we're out of tomatoes and don't have a ceiling fan :P
Wished upon the sun.
The sun is a star.
Tried to sew my shoe together...again
Had a laughing fit.

Yea
That is my sunday so far :)
