you said HOW MANY COOKIES?!??!

So today me and my most wonderful sister (who did most all of the baking) decided to bake Christmas butter cookies!!! we thought, "hey, this should be easy." until we read the box:
-11 Tbs of BUTTER!!!!!! GROSS
-1 egg

And that was it!!! no water or oil stuff! just BUTTER AND EGG! sick. anyway, after like a half an hour of prepping it all, we ended up with this:

they look so pretty!!
Don't worry, we made more.... LOTS more :)
So we kept cutting out shapes and baking and baking. We knew we had spent waaaaayy too much time on these and decided to NEVER bake them again.
But all of the sudden...
Pear calls me over to the kitchen...
And she says to me....
"Scar, we made 92 cookies"
OH MY ARTICHOKES!!!!!!
do you have any idea how many cookies that is??!?!?!?
So of course we had to decorate them all.
But the first batch that we had made got a little crispy.
This poor little guy was surrounded by happy star friends but he was all brown :(

But in the end, it was a pretty good day

Never Changes...

Every single time I go to the Reservoir, it ALWAYS looks the same!!!

Clouds (sometimes). dead trees (always) water, dogs, PEOPLE!!
IT NEVER CHANGES!!!!
except for this cute little holiday tree :)
Apparently every year around Christmas, someone decorates a tree around the Reservoir.
But other than that....... it's pretty much the same

New camera!!

So I am soooo happy that I got this new, beautiful, FABULOUS camera!!!!!

Isn't it wonderful!!!!!
I'm trying to figure out what to name it. Yes, i am one of those people that name inanimate objects.
My sister was thinking Olivia because then Oliver would have a friend haha (lex)

But if you have any other suggestions just let me know.

Little Devil Children

So the other night was Christmas Eve. We were so excited for Christmas that we had TONS of energy. So Pear and I came up with a little idea....

we grabbed all 14 post-it note pads

    and the chalk

and when we were positive that the parents were gone...

we kind of decorated their cars

               3 actually

hehehe
and "brightened" up the drive-way. It just
seemed a little bland before we came along :)
I didn't want to be rude.
 so we apologized.
I realize that i'm a little late in saying this but-

          MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

The creation of the 3 eyed Elsie

So pear and I decided to make this gingerbread WOMAN. we were very enthusiastic and excited. We named her Elsie.
Yes. She had three eyes and was practically bullet proof after we had covered her with M & M's.
So gingerbread people and houses are supposed to taste good right?
Elsie was just the opposite.
Sorry Elsie.
You were a good gingerbread WOMAN :)

The 5 Simple Steps to Shopping

When shopping, not many people think to bring a complete survival kit. They don't realize that shopping can wear you out (no pun intended) in many ways. So i have created a shopping survival kit for you to (hopefully) use on your next adventure.

Step 1: Money. Money is the key to shopping. it doesn't matter how much you have, any amount is needed in this process.

Step 2: marshmallows. marshmallows are so handy to have when you're walking from store to store. They're easy to just pop in your mouth when you need a little bit of energy. Not to mention dropping them over the edge of the railings :)

Step 3: Shoes. You have to be selective about what type of shoes that you wear. For example, if you knew that you were going to try on jeans , wear the most comfortable flip-flops that you have. Otherwise i would go for regular, padded shoes. I prefer converse.

Step 4: Water. ALWAYS bring water with you when you're shopping. There's a lot of dust flying around the stores and malls. The water is to help your throat not dry out from this 'people dust' as i call it.

Step 5: Camera. I personally think that cameras are the most important item when shopping ANYWHERE. Carry them in your purse, pocket, or in your hand. Whenever you see something interesting, just snap a shot and you're ready to go. Plus they're handy if you don't want to buy something cause then you can just duplicate it at home. (take note that not all stores like it when you take pictures in their store. personal experience. ehem, bath and body works)

I hope that this is helpful to all you happy shoppers and to all the parents out there. I realize that this post may be a little late considering that you guys are just finishing up your Christmas shopping and are probably drop-dead tired. at least now you know :)
